So much has happened and yet I haven’t updated or done a decent job of getting pictures.
Brief recap: Easter Weekend
Wednesday – Drove to Raleigh to see my mom’s new place. Had my first Fat Tire beer… fantastic. Ate at Schlotzkey’s Deli and reminded me of highschool when Michico James used to work there and hook us up. Dropped by Kegs’s house to meet Win and Taylor. Little Win stole me heart. Drove into Wilmington to find PT’s closed. Bummer. Drove the rest of the way into the Oak.
Thursday – Went for a bike ride up to the coffee shop for internet to take care of a few open items for work. Took Billy into Wilmington to show him Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and everything in between. Meet Mom, Butch, Seth and Maggie at Caribbean Soul for drinks and apps.
We also bought B a new truck... well new to him.
We woke up to a rainbow completely circling the sun. Amazing.
Friday – Laid out on the dock. Got the boat in the water. Grilled out. Drank some drinks. Had a dance party. Cussed out Seth and Billy. You know, the usual.
Saturday – Hung out with the fabulousness that is Leo and Erin Dusard, as well as my kindergarten teacher, Janet [Mullinex] Evans. Passed out. Zach joined us. He is awesome.
Sunday – Had an amazing asparagus and goat cheese omelet at Taylor’s. Packed up, and hit the road.
Ugh. Seth's foot.
This Past Weekend
Friday – Watched Talledaga Nights to get pumped up for Saturday morning.
Saturday – Hit Virginia International Raceway for some go-karting adventures. It was so much fun. I really only did it because I knew Billy would enjoy it; however it turned out so much fun, and I gradually improved after spinning out into the grass 8 times my first run.
Sunday – Ran errands while Billy worked on his retaining wall.
Joe’s wedding up next!!! I cannot wait for the Dave concert and the festivities!!

Aww. I love y'all. I'm glad y'all had a good time in the Oak.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to put my plug in for boxers. We've got two of them and they are AWESOME dogs! I do love mastiffs, though. So you are set either way!!
Oh, and p.s., I so know about the crying because you don't have a dog. Before I got Riley I would sit in my room for hours and look at hundreds and hundreds of dogs, even with hundreds and hundreds of people at our house for a party.
