Let's see, I committed to updating my blog every Friday, and it looks like I am 1 for 3 on that. In other words, I am failing. However, life if really good right now. Wednesday night I was driving home from the gym, and for the first time in a really long time, I realized I was really, truly proud of myself. Since returning to Charlotte I feel like I can say I am really excelling and reaching my potential at this point in life, but it is so bittersweet. I am so tremendously happy, but I still wish like hell that my Dad could be here to live it with me - to experience what I feel is the result of two incredible parenting jobs.
I am completed the draft of my first large task within my new position at work - a 108 page calculation. It is due on October 26th, so I am proud to be completing it early and under budget. French is going pretty good - we need to practice more, but at least we are getting a little exposure each week. I am loving my business courses at Queens, as well as my membership to Lifestyles Fitness. The Body Attack class I take with Tiffany, Kari, Nahir, Barbara, and Earls, and it is serious shit. Theta Tau is going pretty well. I feel like I am taking care of business. We have Regionals this weekend in Charlotte, and while I am not thrilled about their use of my $40.00, I guess it is the support that counts.
Billy is doing fantastic! He just took on another job painting, so I am hoping he is going to quit the night job. He works about three nights a week right now, and I am hoping to cut that down to ZERO. Although, we actually get home around the same time. My typical schedule is work, class, work out, cook dinner, walk Goose, sit on patio with B and Goose and enjoy the night, each other's company, and a beer.
Since my last post, we hit up Oak Island for Labor Day, threw a huge bday bash for Tiffany, wiled out for my birthday with my Mom and Butch, walked in the Heart Walk, started my golf class, awarded Anthony Chang the 4th Bi-Annual Godfather Award...

Billy and I are headed to Orlando in a little over a week. He really deserves a break, so I hope it is a great vacation. We are going to go down to Cocoa/Melbourne Beach on Friday, Oct. 9, stay there two nights, then drive over to Orlando for three nights. I think we are going to go to Epcot and Universal. I really don't care about going anywhere but Epcot; however B really wants to go to Universal.
I am also in the process of planning a trip for NA-YGN (North American Young Generation in Nuclear) that will take a group of 12 of us out to the west coast for four days. We will fly into Portland October 26, then travel to Richland for tours of our other fuel facility, Columbia Generating Station, Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory, Wild Horse Wind Farm, Volpentest Hammer Training Facility, and potentially Hanford B reactor. On the way back to Portland from the Wind Farm, we will be within 50 miles of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Ranier, so the view will be incredible.
I put all my pictures on my other computer, and I don't feel like starting that big boy up, so I only have a couple saved that people have sent me via email.
