I saw a blog where a young woman writes to her Dad. I can still remember how excited my Dad was about me going to California, and I can only imagine how proud he is of me now. Therefore I think I am going to start writing this blog to him.
Dear Dad,
I hope you enjoyed getting to see Mema again two weeks ago. It was ridiculously difficult saying goodbye to her because it brought up so many memories of you and feelings that I wasn't ready to feel again. I really wasn't sure whether to return for her funeral or not. Although I know you would want me to be there for Aunt Ann, so ultimately I decided to go. I am so thankful that I did. I didn't realize how much I missed Aunt Ann, Leigh, Cindy, Aunt Gail, Aunt Lula Mae... and of course Mom, Seth, and Mags... until I got there. It was so difficult, yet cleansing - if that even makes sense.
My sweet, sweet, sweet cousin.

The women of my life.... LOVE
When I returned from the US, we had a four day weekend for Easter, so Billz and I took off for Berlin and Dresden. Dad, I loved loved loved Berlin, and I think that you would have too. I can't help but always think about how much trouble you and Billy would get in together if you were with us. He seriously has your sense of humor. Berlin was just full of so much history I couldn't even drink it all in... and Dresden was beautiful!
